Atop Mount Golgotha, research has identified four petroglyphs, rock carvings, which comprise primitive engravings in rock. Even though there is no documented historical or religious evidence supporting their significance, these engravings suggest that ancient individuals may have recognized and revered this site’s potential sacredness. It appears that through these carvings, they were attempting to communicate the hill’s importance to subsequent generations or fellow contemporaries.
